Miksi Applen puhelin ei myy?


Miksi paljon puhuttu iPhone ei sitten enää myy, vaikka sitä on paljon hehkutettu? Syy tietenkin on siinä, että kuka ostaa tuollaisen kalliin puhelimen, kun melkein vastaavan saa ostettua noin sadalla eurolla, vaikka noiden halpapuhelimien käyttökokemus ei ehkä ole aivan samaa luokkaa kuin monen sadan euron hintaisten iPhonejen, niin niillä kuitenkin voi hoitaa samat asiat kuin tuolla Applen erittäin kalliilla puhelimella. Itseäni ihmetyttää muuten se, miksi media itkee nimenomaan tuon Applen puhelimen perään, vaikka muitakin puhelimia on olemassa?

Toki Apple on laadukas laite, jonka toiminta sekä käyttömukavuus perustuu suljetun lähdekoodin antamaan harmoniseen yhteensopivuuteen tuon laitteen kanssa. Koska kaikki Applen laitteisiin ladatut ohjelmat ajetaan sinne Applen palvelimien kautta, jolloin tuon yhtiön ohjelmoijat tekevät siihen omia muutoksiaan, joilla taataan ohjelmiston täydellinen kommunikointi prosessorin sekä kernelin, mikä tarkoittaa mikropiirien sekä käyttöjärjestelmän välistä kommunikaatiota hoitavan rajapinnan kanssa, jolloin käyttökokemus on tietenkin hyvä.

Tämän takia Applen tietokoneet ovat olleet erityisesti paljon matkustavien henkilöiden suosiossa, koska ne käynnistyvät erittäin nopeasti ja niiden akut ovat olleet aina hyvin kestäviä, ja monilla toimittajilla sekä graafisen alan työläisellä on ollut Apple pöydällään. Mutta niiden korkea hinta on tietenkin rajoittanut noiden koneiden käyttäjäkuntaa. Eli monet toimittajatkin ovat aikoinaan valinneet Applen työvälineekseen koneen hyvän maineen sekä korkean laadun takia. Nykyään Chromebook on ainakin melkein yhtä hyvä valinta kuin Apple, vaikka siinä tietenkin täytyy käyttää Internetiä, kun tuolla koneella tehdään työtä suoraan Internetissä oleviin virtuaalityötiloihin. Ja kännykästä tehtyjen mobiilitukiasemien avulla voi Chromebookia käyttää missä vain. Eli älypuhelimissa on kytkin, joka muuttaa ne mobiilitukiasemiksi, jolloin läppäriä voi käyttää täysipainoisesti missä hyvänsä kuten puiston penkillä

Tämän lisäksi tuon laitteen halvimmillaan vajaa 200 euron hinta tekee niistä erittäin edullisia, ja jos koneen joutuu sitten jättämään tulliin, niin silloin tietenkään ei rahallinen menetys ole kovin suuri, ja koska Chromebookin työtila sijaitsee verkossa, niin silloin ei tietenkään tehty työ mene hukkaan, vaikka tullimies etsisi tuosta koneesta piraattiohjelmia tai valokuvia. Toki tuo työn tallentaminen sekä varmuuskopioiden ottaminen opetetaan jo tietojenkäsittelyn peruskursseilla, eli jokainen vastuunsa tunteva henkilö tallentaa aina työnsä vähintään USB-tikulle, ja myös verkkotallennustiloja voi hyödyntää. Ja jos puhutaan salaisesta tiedosta, niin silloin ne voidaan tallentaa pelkästään kryptatulle tikulle tai SD-kortille, jolloin kukaan asiaton ei niihin pääse käsiksi, tai käyttää VPN yhteyden kautta jotain verkkokovalevyä.

Well, we might say that the brain is in its entirety. Another thing is that all things in the brain have some kind of purpose. The shape of the brain and, especially, the folding of the brain shell are extremely important things. Those folds are expanding the brain's surface areas.
