Syy siihen että sotilaan lapset päätyvät isänsä tai äitinsä ammattiin paljon helpommin kuin muut ihmiset johtuu yleensä siitä, että he saavat ennen asepalvelusta "hiljaista oppia" eli näkevät ennalta noita koulutustilanteita, mikä antaa heille mahdollisuuden ennakoida tulevia käskyjä. Tuota kutsutaan psykologiassa mallioppimiseksi. Samasta syystä maanviljelijän lapset kovin usein valitsevat isänsä tai vanhempansa ammatin.

Heillä on lapsesta pitäen opetettu, miten esimerkiksi traktoria ajetaan. Vanhempien esimerkki antaa lapsille paljon tukea elämän aikana sekä hyvässä että pahassa. Eli jos vanhemmat ryyppäävät kotonaan ja opettavat lapsilleen huonoja tapoja, niin toki lapsi silloin perii tämän huonon ominaisuuden. Tästä syystä myös uskonnollinen fanatismi periytyy, koska jos perheessä ei muuta tutkita kuin Raamattua tai Koraania sekä uhkaillaan kuolemalla jokaista, jonka mielipiteet eivät satu tuota perhettä miellyttämään, niin tuloksena on aatteen palo, minkä ikävistä seurauksista luetaan välillä lehdistä, ja samalla tavoin esimerkiksi ihminen oppii vihaamaan jotain paikkoja tai tilanteita.

Esimerkiksi jos johonkin kirkkoon tai asuintaloon liityy painostavia tai ahdistavia tilanteita, niin se herättää vihaa myös tuota paikkaa kohtaan, mutta toki kirkon polttaminen voi olla jonkun yhteisöstään pois suljetun ihmisen viimeinen yritys saada huomiota. Joskus kirkon polttaminen tai muu järjetön rikos voi olla ihmisen yritys päästä pois yhteisöstä, jonka hän kokee jotenkin painostavaksi tai torjuvaksi. Jos tuo tilanne yhteisössä muuttuu sellaiseksi, että ihminen tuntee jotenkin itsensä avuttomaksi. Tuolloin hän voi kokea esimerkiksi jopa Niuanniemen sairaalan tai Sörnäisten vankilan miellyttäväksi paikaksi loppuelämää ajatellen.
